We have some great news for all you Chrome users – we had just released a special version of SimilarWeb especially for Chrome! The very first version of SimilarWeb for Chrome is available for download at www.similarweb.com. The Chrome extension has a brand new interface, which is very simple to use, and extremely intuitive – just a simple button next to the Omnibox (URL bar). This gives you tons of information at your fingertips, when you want it.

 The new interface is really simple and fun to use. The extension displays thumbnails of each website, so that you can look at the picture, and right away know what you’re looking at. Below the thumbnail you’ll see the URL and title of the website, to make things even easier. If you don’t like the screenshots, just switch to the list view, which shows you only the title and description of the website.

 In the extension, all of your SimilarSites results, TopSite results, Buzz results and the Articles results are just a click away. We added a new Stars feature, so you can now rate the websites as you browse, and share your opinions with all the other users.

 Along the bottom of the extension, you’ll find different tabs that allow you to choose between SimilarSites, TopSite, Buzz, Articles and Reviews. Here is a short review of what the tabs do: SimilarSites finds similar websites to the page you’re looking at. TopSite shows you the top websites in the same topic as the site you’re looking at. Buzz finds popular twitter posts regarding the website you’re looking at. Articles shows articles relating to the website you’re looking at. Stars let you rate the website you’re on.
